WE HAVE IT!
I hope this note finds you healthy and safe. We have a quick
announcement.
The InStar Users Group signed
agreements with Vertafore for the InStar Source Code. We are in the process of
getting the program unlocked. We were starting to wonder if this day would ever
come. The day has arrived, now the work begins.
We will turn over the source
code to EDI Concepts to begin programming updates for delivery to those agencies
in the EDI Concepts support program.
Please contact
info@InStarUsersGroup.org with any questions. (if you get a bounce on this
email it is probably only 1 address as this is broadcast to the entire IUG

We are very busy prioritizing updates and how to deliver
them through EDI Concepts. EDI Concepts is assessing the many updates they
have identified though their own experience, through hearing from users and
providing support to many agencies over the past 5 years.
What if you switched to another system? You will
always have InStar as an option and an option that cannot be sold to another
vendor. If you wish to change back now, you have the
opportunity to convert back now. EDI
Concepts has numerous agencies making the change back now and will be sending
more technical information in their newsletter. To verify you are on the
EDI Concepts mailing list please send email and request to be included on their
mailing list.
We wish to sincerely thank everyone as without your
support this result would not be possible. It has been a long and
difficult battle. Your current board members ask for others that would like to serve, please contact one of the board members. We need to fill the position of
Secretary right away. The IUG mission will be changing from securing
source code to managing the software to the benefit of the
users.
